Road and company inspection

Vehicle measurements & weights

Regulations on the height, width, length and masses and weights (including axle weights) of vehicles are a complex tangle.

Although there are European directives, several member states allow, under a variety of conditions, other dimensions and weights, whether in the form of LHVs or not.

On the other hand, at least in some member states, these regulations are very heavily policed resulting in high fines, targeting both the carrier and driver and even the principal and shipper

Our lawyers have very broad experience in assisting transport companies in such inspections and in advising them to avoid these heavy fines.
